Social impact experience: Natural wine appreciation and tasting

  • Sardine Head 5202 North Albina Avenue Portland, OR, 97217 United States (map)

Join us for a tasting and discussion about natural wine. We will taste together a range of various natural wines from around the world made by the true rebels of the beverage world: vintners and grape farmers. We will define what natural wine is, discuss its ancestral roots and more recent rebirth. We will go over some of the styles and regional differences. We will also send you home with some resources on where to find your favorite natural wines. At the end of the experience the wines tasted will also be available for purchase.

Cost: $45

Simon is a Franco-American wine enthusiast. He grew up in France, often visiting winemakers in the Loire Valley with my parents. Simon has been working in restaurants for ten years, including as the wine curator for Olympia Oyster Bar for 3 years, and while doing so, have renewed his interest in all things wine. He also opened a natural wine bar with his friend Liz: Sardine Head. At Sardine Head they create a space where people can enjoy natural wine without all the fussy old school rules and intimidation. Wine for the people!
